MCL employees are encouraging students in Pulaski and Seymour to nominate their teachers for the Golden Apple Awards.
The annual Golden Apple Awards are organized by the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce’s Partners in Education to recognize outstanding teachers in the area. As an active member of the Chamber, MCL helps promote the awards.
This year Michelle Kelsey, Wendy Nooyen and Tanya Dittman visited a total of five schools - Pulaski Middle School, Fairview Elementary School, Rock Ledge Primary School, Rock Ledge Intermediate School and Seymour Middle School. They told students about the awards, dropped off nomination forms and treated the teachers to a Seroogy’s candy bar. The MCLers handed out nearly 200 candy bars!
If you know of a deserving teacher in the Greater Green Bay area, you can nominate him or her online. Nominations are due October 27, 2017. The winners get $500 and will be recognized in a televised program in April.
