History

In 1979, Mel and Mary Ann Treankler started MCL Industries in the basement of their home with their sons, Carl and Larry. They distributed power transmission products and built electrical control systems, helping customers with electrical engineering and design as necessary. In 1983, Terry Hanstedt joined the team and shortly afterwards the business moved into its own building just down the road. Since then, Mel, Carl, Larry and Terry have served in various leadership roles, as MCL grew and attracted new customers, built its current facility in Pulaski and transitioned to meet the needs of its customers.

Today, Carl, Larry and Terry still serve as shareholders and guide MCL’s Leadership Team in living out the company’s Mission, Vision and Values. Mel and Mary Ann are enjoying retirement.

MCL is one of eight companies that share common ownership and are focused around three complementary competencies; manufacturing, innovation and community service. Combining each of these market focuses allows us to have a very unique perspective and group of resources to develop innovative solutions, products and experiences that few others can even dream of offering. Together, we are 450 employees strong, and we share four common Guiding Principles and six Core Values:

To work with people we love and care about.

To create opportunities for the people we love and care about.

To make a difference in the lives of our customers and suppliers.

To run successful businesses so we can give back to the communities we live in and work in.
