In 1979 Carl, his father (Mel), mother (Mary Ann) and brother (Larry) started MCL Industries in the basement of their family home. Over the following 33 years Carl served the business in many fashions, leading to him as the Director of Sales and Marketing. However, his true passion was watching the “MCL family” of employees grow with the organization. Currently Carl serves as a Shareholder of the family holdings: MCL Industries, Bay Tek Games, LMG and Northern Products Development Group.
Carl retired from MCL the end of 2012 and moved to Houghton, Michigan, where he now spends his time serving the Lord through the development of the Keweenaw Base Camp. The Keweenaw Base Camp is an outdoor ministry site used by Camp Luther, of Three Lakes, WI. Programs there seek to “build up” campers in their faith, while providing opportunities for personal growth, challenges, community building and adventure.
Carl is married and is the proud father of three children. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends up north, fishing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling and cruising around the lake on the pontoon boat.
Larry, along with his father, mother and brother, started MCL in 1979 in the basement of the family home. He led MCL from 1979-1993 before going to serve our sister company Bay Tek Games, Inc. in 1993. Larry served as CEO of Bay Tek Games from 1982-2012 before he was reunited with the MCL team in 2012. Larry and his bride (Kathy) bought two divisions of the C.A. Lawton Co. in 2007 which is now known as LMG, LLC. He currently is Chairman for the family’s trio of manufacturing companies (MCL, Bay Tek Games and LMG). Larry’s primary role is to serve the Leadership of each company and to be a positive example of living our Mission, Vision, Values.
Larry is married with 4 children and 2 grandchildren. He loves and enjoys them through activities like camping, boating, Nascar races, fishing, attending and hosting Green Bay Packer games and anything the kids have going on.
